Food Is Now Our Medicine


If you are a person who watches television at random, you would notice the many commercials that are  promoting pharmaceutical products. Pills for diabetes, high blood pressure, psoriasis, various cancers and shots to hide HIV, alter gender by increasing testosterone or estrogen. The pharmaceutical market is booming for those who don't eat a healthy diet and depend on these medicines for relief, a cure or alteration of their bodies, including beautification. 

Deep within our soul we know that those pills and shots which we periodically take don't cure anything, they simply mask the problem. The ailments, discomforts, health disorders are primarily from the food we eat, insufficient rest and lack of exercise for proper circulation of our blood. Most of the medications prescribed are extracted from various plants, fruits and vegetables; this right here speaks volumes. Nothing that can assist with our health came from the flesh of animals.  Man did not start to eat meat or the flesh of animals until after the flood - Genesis 9:3, 4. At  this time the lifespan of Man was also decreased to seventy years - Psalm 90:10. Before the flood Man's lifespan was one hundred and twenty years - Genesis 6:3. After digesting meat we suffered the loss of thirty years. What changed? Our diet did. 

Food is now our medicine because we need to return to eating fruits and vegetables for us to experience healthier living while here on the earth. There is no doubt that most of our medicines are extracts from fruits, vegetables and herbs, mixed with some other harmful chemicals that cause side effects. We need to change what we eat, when we eat and how much we eat. Food is now our medicine and we are in a nutshell returning to the diet that was given to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Genesis 1:29 - And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for MEAT."
